High Pressure Laminates are made of Kraft paper impregnated phenolic resins, faced with melamine impregnated decorative paper and pressed under heat and high pressure. HPL has high resistance to scratches, abrasion, boiling water, stains and household chemicals with extremely high dimensional stability.
Compact Laminate is 2-side decorative HPL that is above 2mm thick. It is manufactured using the same technique only in higher thicknesses and with the 2 sides of the board faced with décor paper. Compact laminate is widely used in :
high traffic areas for cladding and counter tops.wet areas for cladding and partitioning, bathroom cubicles is a clear example.Lockers in gyms, spas and fitness centers.Table tops and counter tops in restaurants. Desk tops in offices , schools and universities.Various other applications where need for high durability ,high scratch and abrasion resistance is key.
Regular wood processing requirements are considered when fabrication HPL sheets, such as dust extraction and collection, fire Precautions according to local or municipal regulations at country of fabrication.
Protective gloves and safety glasses must be worn during handling and fabrication due to sharp edge of HPL. protective gloves should always be worn
when handling laminates. In case of allergy to machining dust, respiratory gear must be worn. Please see your physician or seek medical assistance in case of excessive allergy or in case of contact with eyes.
In general, from 1.39-1,45 kg/m2 per 1mm of thickness.
Adhesive manufacturer’s instructions must be followed but generally, reaction adhesives such as Epoxy or Solvent-Free PU are suitable.
Wall cladding must be mounted on a substructure, mechanically using screws and rivets, or using a mounting system. Panels can also be glued to the substructure invisible attachment. Ventilation on both of the wall cladding compact must be ensured for maximum stability. In case of installation without rear ventilation, moisture barrier must be used.
All HPL and Compact can easily be written on and cleaned off. In case of high gloss finish, extra care must be given to avoid micro scratched as they easily show on high-gloss surfaces. Please refer to Documents Center for cleaning instructions.
Absolutely. Whether digital print of particular pattern or even wood grain decors selected off a range of real natural wood veneer samples presented by Lamex Laminate or any of its dealers/distributors, the same can be developed into printed paper with extreme high resolution and, upon customer’s request, the same décor can be kept exclusive to the same customer. Lamex Inc commits not to sell the same décor developed in this way to any other customer. Usually custom developed decors are sold in MOQ’s which normally are not large just to maintain economical offering.
In case of custom-made wood grain décor paper and/or in case of Laminflex ,absolutely.we can surely supply the sheets to book-match on the entire elevation whether in the vertical direction por the horizontal.
In case of ENVY Interior Compact, we can surely do but in that case, the boards must be supplied cut -to -size by either Laminate or any of its agents/distributors.
The answer is yes in case of real wood veneer faces (Lamiflex and ENVY), but in standard décor paper, the grain direction must follow the standard offering of the concerned product.
Without doubt, one of the major selling points of Envyflex and Envy after being faced with real natural wood veneer is the possibility of perfect site repair and finishing using Lamex fantastic coatings. A light sanding paper and a brush(or a small roller) can do the trick.
